Angela Zakiyan

   Angela Zakiyan received the Master’s degree in piano performance, teaching, chamber music and accompanying from the Novosibirsk Conservatory of Music (Russia).

   She has performed in numerous solo, chamber and ensemble recitals in Russia and abroad. She has been a piano soloist with Symphony and Chamber Orchestras, and has been awarded several prizes in national piano competitions in Russia.

   Angela’s 20 years of teaching experience started in Novosibirsk Conservatory as an Assistant Professor at the Piano Department and has continued in her own studio in Sunnyvale, California. Her students have won numerous prizes and awards at national and international piano competitions, performed in many national concerts and recitals and have pursued graduate degrees in music.

   Angela Zakiyan is a member of the Music Teachers Association of California and the American College of Musicians and a founder of the Russian School of Piano.
